Currently, there are only a few providers listed on the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association’s Safe Provider Listing for Missouri. These providers account for only a few areas of the state and generally represent larger metropolitan areas. However, we know LGBTQ people are living everywhere, which means that we need safe providers in every corner of our state. Out, Proud and Healthy is leading an effort to encourage healthcare providers of all kinds to self-identify as providing safe, welcoming, culturally competent, and affirming health care.
We’re looking for recommendations from community members of nurses, doctors, dentists, therapists, chiropractors, primary care physicians – anyone who provides health care. Do you know someone who makes the cut? Let us know.
